Company Naming

Boeing and a unit of Kitty Hawk, the electric ultralight aircraft company backed by Google co-founder Larry Page, formed a joint venture that developed autonomous air-taxis. We created the company name Wisk because it suggests the aircraft’s unique manner of vertical take-off and propulsion, and it easily lends itself to the verb “wisking” from one place to another.
